Andrew is passionate about remote medical care and rescue. He is an active tactical/remote site paramedic who is routinely deployed on Search and Rescue and medical support operations. He founded Remote Medical International in 2001 to provide the finest and most advanced wilderness/remote medicine training, equipment, and direct medical and rescue support based on real and continued experience in remote settings.
In addition to his responsibilities as CEO, he is a lead instructor, and Offshore Paramedic. In addition, he works with the Medical Advisory Board to oversee all curriculum and protocol development, and approves each product or piece of equipment that Remote Medical adds to its already extensive inventory.
Andrew has instructed over 60 wilderness medicine courses including Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness EMT and advanced courses and has participated in well-over 100 Mountain Rescue, SAR and medical support operations, as well as serving mountaineering expeditions and open-ocean voyages in a medical capacity.
Andrew is an avid mountaineer, laptop-slide player and floatplane pilot in Seattle, WA. |
