David’s love for the outdoors and adventure has lead him to a career has a professional sea kayaking, rafting, and glacier guide in Alaska. David has been active in wilderness medicine as long as he has guided. He has been certified as an EMT in Alaska since 2003 and volunteers with Juneau Mountain Rescue and the local ambulance service (where sometime the ambulance can be a floatplane). David currently works as a ski patroller, and guide and is certified in swiftwater resuce. Between teaching classes you can find David hiking, kayaking, rafting and of course salmon fishing in Southeast Alaska. |
