| Janet is a professor of health and human performance at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon where she teaches a variety of classes including anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise physiology. She has her doctorate in public health with an emphasis in preventive care and a masters in exercise physiology. Janet has been involved in the medical field for many years and developed an interest in wilderness medicine while training for the Mt. Waterman nordic ski patrol in southern California in the late 90’s. Janet enjoys leading newbies on backpacking, climbing and winter camping trips through out the Oregon and Southern Washington Cascades. You might also find her volunteering as a medic at cyclocross races, for the local fire department and providing fitness testing for Fire/EMS providers. When not working or volunteering, Janet enjoys spending time climbing, hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and pretty much anything outdoors and human powered! |
