Expeditions
Team Inspi(RED) Everest Summit Trip
When Team Inspri(RED) climbed Mt. Everest in 2008, ACCESS™ Telemedicine complemented by customized lightweight medical kits went to the summit with the team. Weight being a critical issue, RMI staff worked with team members to ensure critical medications and tools were packed to endure the extreme cold and altitude Everest is famous for. RMI Instructor, Melissa Arnot, worked as one of the guides making her the second Everest summiter among our staff.
Antarctic Expedition Support
RMI's supported the successful 2008 expedition to the summit of Antarctica's high point Vinson Massif. Services included Emergency Response Plan generation, training, expedition medical kit, and telemedicine support enabled through satellite phone technology.
