Shawn began his public safety career in law enforcement. He obtained Tactical Medic and Wilderness EMT certifications and was instrumental in starting the Tactical Medic program at his agency. Shawn enjoyed his time with the local Fire/ Rescue service where he served as a Firefighter, Engineer, Rescue Diver and trainer. Shawn is a Nationally Registered Paramedic currently working as a Remote Paramedic and Safety Officer in the Oil Industry (On and Offshore). He loves to learn and share knowledge which led to working as an instructor in various organizations since 1997. His teaching experiences include the police academy and teaching BLS and ACLS courses throughout the State of Florida. Shawn holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College. He enjoys many outdoor activities including: hiking, scuba diving, shooting, boating and biking.
