| Born in Eugene Oregon, Steve started climbing in 1971 and began a career in guiding in 1978. Since then he has worked for various guide services and guided trips and climbs in New Zealand, Europe, East Africa, South America, Asia, Central America, and throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Additionally, he co-founded and owned a guide service for eight years. Steve has thirteen years of Mountain Rescue and SAR experience and has been teaching wilderness medicine since 2001. In his spare time he likes to restore old sports cars, read, and most of all hang out in Belize, diving in warm water and lying in a hammock beneath a palm tree. Steve resides near Seattle, WA. |
