The CPR MICROSHIELD was designed to meet two critical specifications; protect the rescuer and allow the rescuer to perform proper CPR according to the established guidelines and procedures. The patented one-way valve and single piece design assures the rescuer that our barrier will not leak, or ever fall apart during CPR. True Mouth to Mouth Seal is achieved. The sealing method is identical to the method taught in CPR classes, thus avoiding complicated hand seal methods which pull the rescuer from the all important learned technique. This also allows the rescuer to perform an effective head-tilt, chin-lift maneuver. The bite block/airway tunnel inserted into the patient's mouth assists the rescuer in maintaining an open airway when performing the head-tilt, chin-lift maneuver. A clear barrier allows the rescuer to observe signs of obstructions, fluids present, and lip color while performing CPR. Although the CPR Microshield consists of several component parts, all are sealed together to provide a product without "leaks" where the bite block and the barrier meet.
