Dear RMI Community,

On Friday, November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines, claiming thousands of lives and affecting over ten million. Over the past week, Remote Medical International (RMI) staff put their heads together to create a response plan that includes monetary donations, supplies, and telemedicine access to victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The RMI team mobilized with speed, efficiency, and passion. From emails sent by employees deployed worldwide to overtime and weekend hours clocked at headquarters, it is abundantly clear that Remote Medical International stands solidly behind its mission to provide medical solutions under the most challenging of circumstances.

I am profoundly proud and privileged to announce the launch of the RMI Typhoon Relief Fund. Beginning today, Remote Medical International will match up to $10,000 in donations to Team Rubicon, a veteran-focused disaster relief organization specializing in immediate medical response.

By donating to the RMI Typhoon Relief Fund, 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go to Team Rubicon’s Philippine relief efforts (Operation: Seabird) with the primary objective of facilitating search and rescue efforts and providing medical triage for a full-scale field hospital in Tacloban. RMI supports Team Rubicon’s ability to unite the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Similar to RMI’s provision of integrated medical solutions to clients operating in unconventional environments, Team Rubicon reaches victims outside the scope of where traditional aid organizations venture.

As we continue to encourage the RMI community to join us in donating, we will also provide supply shipments and telemedicine access to Team Rubicon’s volunteers based on their field reports. Updates of RMI’s efforts will be available via our blog and social media platforms.

I encourage you to direct others in your personal and professional circles to the RMI Typhoon Relief Fund. Our hearts and thoughts go out to those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, and we commend all first responders for their courageous service. Thank you again for helping to distinguish Remote Medical International as a company with heart, grit, and passion for excellence.

In appreciation,

Brian Vincent, CEO
