The Basic First Aid (BFA) course follows nationally recognized curriculum for first aid and is designed for employees with little to no medical knowledge working within reach of Emergency Medical Services.

Through a hands-on and scenario-based approach, this course offers the skills and confidence needed to identify and address basic and immediate life threats.

Key Topics Covered:

Students receive an introduction to scene safety, patient assessment, lifting and moving patients, medical kits, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). They also learn how to effectively manage airway blockages, wounds, shock, spinal injuries, and head injuries.
