Remote Medical International is teaming up with Planet Granite to offer the Wilderness First Responder Training in San Francisco January 7-16, 2011. The Wilderness First Responder is the outdoor adventure and guiding industry standard for medical training, and RMI emphasizes hands-on experiential learning to ensure that you graduate feeling confident in your ability to provide medical care in remote environments. You couldn’t ask for a better location for a WFR course than the Presidio. In 1994 after over 200 years of continuous use as a military post, the Presidio became a 1,491-acre addition to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Now, the park consists of designed landscapes, wild forest, and the nearly 800 buildings now house tenants like Planet Granite, cafes, nurseries, and environmental non-profits. This varied environment gives our instructors lots of options when designing outdoor scenarios for class, and you’ll get to do some fun exploring on your lunch breaks! Click here for more information about the Presidio’s history and for a list of current tenants.

All course registrations are arranged directly though RMI, so give us a call at 1 (206) 686-4878 or toll free (800) 597-4911. Questions? Email info@remotemedical.com.

See you in San Francisco!
